Abstract
The Prajna Theory is a comprehensive educational framework that integrates principles from behavioural science, educational psychology, and brain-based learning to improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes. It addresses the limitations of traditional content-centered instruction by providing teachers with a scientific approach to lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment, and learner engagement. The theory recognizes that meaningful learning occurs when teaching is aligned with how the human brain naturally acquires, processes, retains, and applies knowledge.
Prajna Theory emphasizes the holistic development of learners by fostering not only academic achievement but also critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, communication, self-regulation, and ethical values. It proposes that effective education should consider learners’ cognitive development, motivation, emotions, prior knowledge, and individual learning differences while creating psychologically safe and engaging classroom environments.
The framework incorporates evidence-based instructional strategies such as active learning, retrieval practice, spaced repetition, formative assessment, feedback, metacognition, and habit formation to enhance long-term learning and transfer of knowledge to real-life contexts. Rather than promoting rote memorization, Prajna Theory advocates conceptual understanding, application, and lifelong learning.
Designed for teachers across K–12 education, the theory serves as a practical guide for developing lesson plans that are scientifically informed, learner-centered, and aligned with the ]research with classroom practice, Prajna Theory aims to create learning experiences that nurture intellectually capable, emotionally resilient, socially responsible, and future-ready learners while supporting teachers in delivering high-quality education through evidence-based pedagogy.
