Education System of Bertrand Russel from Ancient to Modern India

Abstract-
Indian civilization is one of the oldest in the world. Excavations of Mohanjodaro and Harappa point to a well-developed civilization in the Indus Valley about ten to fifteen thousand years before Christ. Vedic civilization indicates to a great system of education, perseverance, chastity and independent thinking were given special importance. Teachers place was high and honorable. The Buddhist period saw some changes in the field of education. According to Buddhism, freedom from bondage, i.e. Mokesh is the ultimate goal of human life and it can be attained through perfect knowledge. Invasion of Muslims affected ancient Indian education. Maqtabs and Madarasas were established.
