Supporting Fair, Constructive and Ethical Peer Review

Shiksha Samvad is an International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research invites qualified academicians, researchers, scientists and professionals from India and abroad to contribute as members of its Editorial Board and Reviewer Panel. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, research integrity, editorial transparency and responsible scholarly publishing.

Reviewers play an essential role in strengthening the peer-review process and ensuring the originality, relevance, methodological soundness and scholarly value of submitted manuscripts. They are expected to provide fair, constructive, timely and unbiased evaluations within their respective areas of academic expertise.

01 Eligibility Criteria

✓ The applicant should preferably hold a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.

✓ The applicant should be working as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Scientist or Research Professional in a recognised institution.

✓ Candidates holding a postgraduate degree with substantial teaching, research or professional experience may also be considered.

✓ The applicant must possess suitable academic or professional expertise in the proposed area of review.

✓ A record of research publications in recognised journals, edited books or conference proceedings is desirable.

✓ The applicant should demonstrate familiarity with research ethics, peer review and academic publication standards.

02 How to Apply

Interested candidates may apply to join the Editorial Board or Reviewer Panel by submitting an updated curriculum vitae, institutional affiliation, designation, areas of expertise, research profile link and complete contact information through the official editorial contact details available on the journal website.

Applications will be examined by the Editorial Committee. Selected candidates will be informed through email, and their approved profiles may be displayed on the journal website.

03 Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are responsible for critically evaluating manuscripts within their areas of expertise and providing fair, constructive, evidence-based and academically useful recommendations. Their contribution should help authors improve the quality, clarity and reliability of their scholarly work.

01. Assess the originality, relevance, academic contribution and methodological quality of the manuscript.

02. Provide clear, constructive and evidence-based suggestions for improving the manuscript.

03. Evaluate the suitability and consistency of the title, abstract, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion and references.

04. Identify significant errors, unsupported claims, ethical concerns or possible publication misconduct.

05. Recommend acceptance, minor revision, major revision, resubmission or rejection on the basis of academic merit.

06. Maintain objectivity, professionalism, courtesy and respect in all reviewer comments.

04 Reviewer Guidelines

✓ If a manuscript falls outside the reviewer’s area of expertise, the reviewer should inform the Editor promptly and decline the assignment.

✓ Review reports should normally be completed within one to two weeks. Additional time may be requested when genuinely necessary.

✓ All manuscripts, reviewer reports and related editorial communications must be treated as confidential.

✓ Reviewers must not share, reproduce, distribute, quote or use unpublished material for personal, academic or professional advantage.

✓ Reviewers must decline assignments involving personal, professional, financial, academic or institutional conflicts of interest.

✓ Comments should focus exclusively on the manuscript and must not contain personal criticism or inappropriate language directed at the author.

✓ Suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, manipulation or other ethical concerns should be reported confidentially to the Editor.

✓ If a reviewer becomes unable to complete an accepted review, the Editor should be informed without unnecessary delay.

Confidentiality and Publication Ethics

Reviewers must preserve the confidentiality of the peer-review process and follow recognised principles of academic integrity and publication ethics. Information obtained during the review must not be disclosed or used for purposes unrelated to the editorial evaluation of the manuscript. Reviewer recommendations must be based solely on scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness and ethical compliance.
