Abstract:

We all live in the ambit of our surroundings which in turn shapes our lives. We continually interact with the people around us and our physical environment. From the very beginning when a child tries to construct the reality of the world for himself/herself, he/she does so in close connection with the environment on their surroundings. So, environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection. Environmental Awareness is important because it has positive effects on environmental health and sustainable development. The main purpose of the study to anlyse Environmental Awareness among commerce graduates of Shahjahanpur City.  In the present study, survey method is used for the collection of data. In the present study 122 (25% of present students) commerce graduate students are taken from the selected colleges of Shahjahanpur city by systematic random sampling to perform the survey. To measure the Environment Awareness Ability researcher used standardized Environment Awareness Ability Measure published by Dr. Praveen Kumar Jha. For the anylsing the data appropriate statistical (Mean, Standard Deviation & C.R.) were adopted.  The results indicated that there is no significant difference between mean scores of Environmental awareness in boys and girls (third year commerce graduate students), in urban boys and urban girls & rural boys and rural girls of Shahjahanpur city.
